Structural Integration

Structural Integration refers to work developed by Ida Rolf to reorgainze the fascial layers of the body. Several schools were formed to carry on the work of Dr. Rolf, and I was trained by the school founded by Joseph Heller.

The Hellerwork series consists of eleven sessions of deep tissue bodywork and movement education, designed to realign the body and release tension and stress. It works on the whole body, re-balancing and re-educating it to a more relaxed and youthful state.

Ideally, fascia is loose, moist tissue. Under continual stress and lack of movement, it becomes rigid and loses its fluidity, causing stiffness, tension, and often pain.

Each Hellerwork session has a theme that looks at the emotional body as well as the physical. Each session builds toward an unwinding of the whole body, aiming to take that body back to its younger state of ease and movement. Sessions are 75-90 minutes in length, and the cost is $90.00.
